Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan is all set to tie the knot with his childhood sweetheart Natasha Dalal on January 24 an intimate beach ceremony at Alibaug. While we are waiting for this big day, filmmaker Pahlaj Nihalani confirmed the news and told Mid-Day, “I have heard that Varun’s wedding is happening this weekend. But I have not received an invite yet. David and I talk once in a while, but he hasn’t mentioned the wedding to me. I wish the couple all the best.”
In the guest list of 50 members, the reports suggest that the names of Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are included. A source told the tabloid, “The wedding will see only the families and the couple’s school friends in attendance. Last week, the families sent e-invites for the reception. Shah Rukh Khan may not be able to make it as he is shooting for Pathan in a bio-bubble. Other guests include Varun’s directors Remo D’Souza and Shashank Khaitan, Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra, and Vashu Bhagnani. Since David is diabetic and suffered a heart attack in 2013, sons Varun and Rohit don’t want to risk his health by having a grand reception.”
In the last week, when asked about the wedding, Varun Dhawan told Filmfare, “Everyone is talking about this (his marriage) for the last two years. There is nothing concrete right now. There is so much uncertainty in the world right now, but if things settle down (COVID and its impact), then maybe this year. I mean… I am planning for it definitely soon. But let there be more certainty.” The handsome hunk, who recently recovered from COVID-19 further added, “The excitement when people see your work and that euphoria of watching it, gave me a lot of joy. And I’m feeling much better.” While the actor is shooting for Raj Mehta’s Jug Jugg Jeeyo with Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and Neetu Kapoor, he will start shooting for Sriran Raghavan’s Ekkis after that.
