2. Agra Fort

Often known as one of the finest Mughal forts. It was just a brick fort which was re-built by Emperor Akbar after Rajputs. This fort withholds many buildings inside such as mosques, audience halls, palaces, towers, courtyards, etc. This place is of great historical importance.

Located an hour west of Agra, this now deserted city was the capital of the Mughal Empire in the 16th century. If one is in Agra, they cannot miss visiting this city which is a perfect blend of Indian, Persian and Islamic architecture. This city is home to places such as BulandDarwaza, Birbal’s House, PanchMahal, and Jama Masjid.

If you are an animal lover then you have to visit this place. This is a Bear Rescue Center and is house to more than 100 sloth bears. This place is also home to many rescued elephants.
6. Akbar’s Tomb

Built for the great Emperor Akbar, this structure is made of red stone and white marble. This again is a famous tourist spot in Agra.
7. Jama Masjid

Build by Shah Jahan for his favorite daughter; this is a huge religious structure facing the Agra Fort. Made of marble and red stone, the Jama Masjid took 6 years to be constructed. This place is beautifully decorated and has 5 arched entrances leading to the courtyard.
