Annamalaiyar Temple is also a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The basic temple structure was made by the Chola Dynasty and then the Viyayanagara rulers completed the construction of the temple. The eastern tower of the temple is 66 meters high with 11 stories. It is one of the tallest temple towers in India. The temple is located in the Thiruvannamalai region of Tamil Nadu.
