To encourage the Indian players participating in the Takeo Olympics, the selfie point built at the Taj View Point in Mehtab Bagh was inaugurated on Wednesday evening. The players were filled with enthusiasm when the theme song ‘Jai Ho Vijay Ho Jai Ho Vijay, Jai Ho Vijay Ho Bharat Ki Jai Ho…’ resonated on the view point.
The Tokyo Olympics will be held from July 23 to August 8. Selfie points have been made at various places in the city by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the Directorate of Sports, Uttar Pradesh to encourage the players participating in the Olympics. The view point has been built in collaboration with ADA at Taj View Point. From one o’clock on Wednesday afternoon, the players started taking selfies with the Taj Mahal here. It was inaugurated in the evening by Dr. Rajendra Pansia, Vice President of ADA. Ghazal singer Sudhir Narayan and his team enthralled the people by presenting the theme song written by Sushil Sarit to celebrate the victory of Indian contingent. Regional Sports Officer Sunil Chandra Joshi welcomed the guests and thanked them. Reenesh Mittal conducted the program. Deputy Sports Officer duo Rammilan and Arvind Yadav, SK Nagar, AP Singh, Mahant Yogesh Puri, Rahul Paliwal, Arun Dang, Vinod Sitlani, Harimohan, Rajiv Soi, Amitabh Gautam,be present.
Selfies taken at Selfie Point must be sent to the email id firstname.lastname@example.org by 6 PM on July 16. The players who send the best selfies will be rewarded. First prize is Rs 11 thousand, second prize is Rs 5100, third prize is Rs 2100. Five players will be given Rs 1100 as consolation prize. It is mandatory for the participating players to send selfies their name, address, mobile number, email address etc.
