Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2’s promo has been released recently and fans are super excited to see their Gopi Bahu and Kokilaben back again. In the promo, we see Devoleena Bhattacharjee aka Gopi Bahu entering in beautiful pink saree. She greets the audience with ‘Jai Shree Krishna’. She introduces a new character Gehna by cracking the same cooker and rasoda joke. She also describes Gehna a bit and says that Gehna gives her sweet surprises and sometimes even shock. She has left the audience excited about this promo. We also hear Kokilaben calling our her Gopi Bahu in the promo. Devoleena Bhattacharjee has now opened up about her return to television. She said that doing Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 is like a homecoming for her. In an interview with ETimes, she spoke about the return of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2.
She said, “Getting back to my Saathiya family is a very big deal for me. It is a great coincidence that the show went off air in July 2017, and now on July 23, I got a call to reprise my role as Gopi bahu. In the middle of all this, the viral video added to the excitement. I feel this was destined to happen.” Devoleena Bhattacharjee also revealed about Sidharth Shukla joining the cast. She said, “Due to the COVID restrictions, I shot for my promo alone. So, I am not sure about the rest of the team.” She also spoke about Rupal Patel returning as Kokilaben. She said, “I don’t know if it’s true, but I really hope she returns. I was under the impression that she would be reprising her role. The whole Koki-Gopi equation is what the audience loved. So, if I’m there, Koki should be there too! I would be very sad if she doesn’t return.”
Devoleena Bhattacharjee also appeared as a contestant in Bigg Boss 13 but unfortunately she had to leave the show halfway as she was injured. She was asked if she will participate again in the show. Devoleena said, “I would have loved to complete the show, but I had to leave it due to health issues. I would definitely like to have another go at it, but not for this season maybe. Right now Saathiya 2 is my major focus.”
