Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor might soon make his digital debut if things go as properly. As of now, he has to wrap up the final schedule of Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra , one of the most expensive films of Bollywood. According to a report in MiD-Day the top brass of Disney+Hotstar has approached him for an assassin drama. After Hrithik Roshan, he is the second top Bollywood star to be in talk with the online streaming giant. It seems he has been offered the official adaptation of The Night Manager. Some days back, there were reports that Hrithik Roshan was offered the same series. It is based on John le Carre’s 1993 novel.
A source told MiD-Day, ” The discussions began only a few weeks ago. Only if RK gives his nod, the team will begin the hunt for a director. The 10-part series has been envisioned on a grand scale and will be shot across multiple countries. The show is not likely to go on floors soon as the multi-country shoot will be hard to pull off amid the current restrictions. Also, Ranbir Kapoor has allotted his dates to his next with Shraddha Kapoor that rolls in November.”
The actor is also doing a movie with Shraddha Kapoor. It is being made by Luv Ranjan. It seems the movie will release in 2021. The actor was last seen in the 300 crore blockbuster, Sanju. Ranbir Kapoor also has Shamshera lined up for release. It is a period drama starring the likes of Vaani Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Ronit Roy. Brahmastra was supposed to come out in December but it has got postponed. In fact, there were rumours of Shamshera coming out on an OTT platform but the talks were dismissed by sources close to the project.
