After the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) widened its net, turning the Sushant Singh Rajput case into a crackdown on the alleged Bollywood drug link with the drug mafia and the possibility of a Bollywood drug nexus, several Bollywood celebs and a few of their managers have been summoned for questioning to the NCB office in Colaba, Mumbai. After Sushant’s ex-talent manager Jaya Saha, today it was the turn of Deepika Padukone’s manager, Karishma Prakash and Bollywood/South actress Rakul Preet Singh to appear before the NCB today for their questioning.
It has now been reported by Bollywood news circles that in her interrogation that lasted for nearly four hours, Rakul Preet Singh confessed to the NCB that Rhea Chakraborty would indeed supply drugs to her home, but has denied consuming any of banned narcotics substance herself. Her disclosure came after the NCB showed her proof that they retrieved online chats between Rhea and the De De Pyaar De actress. However, Rakul has vehemently denied that a stash of drugs, recovered from her home, yesterday, 24th September, belongs to her.
The shocking new revelations were made public by Times Now and Republic TV news reports. “Rakul has also accepted chats between her and Rhea over drugs, as per sources. When NCB officials showed her the chats, wherein in the duo was discussing drugs and Rhea was seen asking for banned narcotics, Rakul agreed to the authenticity of the chat.”
The NCB also slammed the actress for denying that she had received a summon from them, which is why she appeared a day later than scheduled after being issued a second summons, post raiding her home yesterday. “Her summons was issued and she was contacted through various platforms including the phone where she was not available. There has been no response so far from her,” said NCB officer KPS Malhotra to Republic TV.
