Actress Priyanka Chopra is generally known for her fashion taste and is often lauded for her sartorial fashion choices. However, her latest outfit that she wore at a Wimbledon match did not go down well netizens who called her ‘tacky’. Many even compared her to Kate Middleton. On July 10, Priyanka attended the women’s singles finals between Ashleigh Barty and Karolina Pliskova in London.
Priyanka was accompanied by her friend, Natasha Poonawalla who is the wife of SII’s CEO, Adar Poonawalla. For her outing, Priyanka was dressed head-to-toe in Fendi. The actor wore a white turtleneck printed Fendi midi dress from the Fall 2021 collection and paired it with a snakeskin belt. The dress had multiple layers and an asymmetrical hemline.
Priyanka completed her look with a tan brown bag, Fendi earrings, and her tied up in a bun. While the actress totally aced the look and was praised for her outfit, there was a section of the internet that trolled Priyanka’s choice of clothes for the match.
One user commented, “Look like a grandma,” while another wrote, “She’s never dressed well. She needs to hire someone better.” A third user commented, “The worst dressed celebrity most of the time. P.C needs a fashion revamp. Her stylist are making a joke out of her.”
Another user wrote, “This is so over the top for Wimbledon. Look at how lovely the future Queen looked. Why do bollywoodians dress so tacky when they attend events abroad. What was going on here with her outfit? All she needed was a lovely summer dress and/or blazer with it! (sic).”
One user even pointed out if PC was pregnant. “I’m wondering if she’s preggo….but in any case this is not a flattering outfit,” the user commented. While referring Priyanka’s relationship to Meghan Markle, one user wrote, “Seems like she didn’t get the fashion memo. Yikes. Could have taken some pointers from her friend the ex duchess.”
Priyanka sat in the royal box with the royals- Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – Prince Willaim and Kate Middleton. Tennis legends Martina Navratilova and Billie Jean King also sat in the Royal Box.
