Prime Minister Modi started his four Nations Visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi started on a four-nation trip on Monday to boost India’s financial involvement with Germany, Spain, Russia and France and enable more foreign financial investment.

In the first leg of his six-day trip, he will visit Germany, where he will keep speaks with Chancellor Angela Merkel under the structure of India-Germany Intergovernmental Consultations (IGC). He will also call on German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, PTI reported.


He will talk about with Merkel areas of collaboration in business, security and counter-terrorism, advancement, technology, skill growth, urban facilities, railways and municipal aircraft, clean energy, growth collaboration, health and alternative treatment. In Germany, Modi and Merkel will also interact with top business management of both the countries to further enhance trade and investment ties. On Tuesday, Modi will go to Spain for Spain, the first by an Indian prime minister in almost three decades. He will contact on King Felipe VI and keep speaks with President Mariano Rajoy.

Modi’s Schedule on this 4 day tour

Modi will talk about ways to enhance bilateral involvement, especially in the financial sphere, and collaboration on international issues of common concern, particularly in fighting terrorism. He will also meet primary executive authorities of the Spanish market and encourage them to partner in the ‘Make in India’ effort. From Spain, the prime minister will go to St. Petersburg in Russia from May 31 to July 2 for the Eighteenth India-Russia Annual Summit.

On July 2, PM Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin will address the St. Petersburg International Economic Community, where India is the ‘guest country’. The visit will also include a detailed interaction with Governors of the Russian States and its market management. In the last leg of the trip, with the newly-elected French President Emmanuel Macron, he will visit France from July 2 to 3.
