Actress Pooja Bhatt has now officially changed the privacy settings of her Instagram account by making it ‘private’. Which means, no anyonymous user can now comment or write anything on Pooja Bhatt’s feed unless she accepts the request. This move has come in retaliation to the unprecedent amount of negativity she and her entire family has been subjected to ever since Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise. While trolling and negative criticism is a part and parcel of a celebrity’s life, things took an ugly turn with people targeting the Bhatt family in alleged connection with Sushant’s mysterious death based on insider vs outsider debate and several other conspiracy theories.
Pooja Bhatt, shares a message explaining why she feels it’s high time she blocks the haters by locking her Instagram account. “Instagram seems to have become a place where people anyonymously and otherwise use their access to hurl abuse, threaten rape and goad you to ‘go die.’ I used to ignore this sort of talk as I always believed that people who are in pain themselves want to hurt another and also that if you accept love, you must accept criticism too. But is someone wishing you and your family death, constructive criticism or just an attempt at vile cyber bullying?”, asks Pooja Bhatt as she mentioned how even turning off the comments section didn’t help because she happened to block even the positive comments which was not the right thing to do.
Pooja Bhatt further wrote, “You want access to my world? Make a request. You want to converse with me? Cut out the abuse. As for wishing me death, the same God and Universe that watches over you, watches over me as well. I will pass when life decides for me. As long as life keeps me breathing, I will live to the optimum and revel in the now. We seem to have become a pathetic lot. spewing abuse, inciting violence, following agendas of manufactured hate like sheep.”
