There is a bad news for all the fans of Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, as the show is going off air soon and Star Plus has decided to replace it with producer Rashami Sharma’s next project. Apparently, the makers of KZK 2, Ekta Kapoor & team tried their best to convince the channel for the show’s smooth run, however, the channel has decided otherwise.
According to a report in Peepingmoon, “The show has not been up to the mark on TRP charts since February 2020 despite its star-studded cast including Parth Samthaan, Erica Fernandes, Aamna Sharif. Post lockdown, the makers underwent a change in the storyline but that too failed to attract the audience. Last month, the channel sent an ultimatum to the producer for its declining TRP. The creative team did try their best to save the show. Unfortunately, all the changes in the storyline did not work into their favour.”
“Another reason for the show’s end is Parth Samthaan. The sudden news of him quitting the show did not go well with the channel and the producer. The creative team tried convincing the channel by introducing another leap into the storyline with the complete new star cast. The team wanted the show’s smooth run at least for few more months. But this time, the channel did not give an ear to them. After a brief meeting, the channel has taken a final decision to end the show. The last episode will be telecast on October 24, 2020. It will be replaced by Rashami Sharma’s Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2,” our source added.
Actor Parth and Erica played the lead role of Anurag Basu and Prerna respectively; while Karan Patel and Aamna essay the role of Mr. Bajaj and Komolika in the show. Earlier Karan Singh Grover played the role of Mr. Bajaj; whereas Hina Khan essayed the role of Komolika. However, the two quit the show due to their personal reason.
