Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials have reached Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor’s homes in Mumbai with summons issued to the actresses in connection with the Bollywood drug probe being carried out by the agency. The NCB is probing the drug angle in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Both Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor have been summoned by the NCB on September 26.
The NCB has also issued summons to actresses Deepika Padukone and Rakul Preet Singh. Sushant Singh Rajput’s manager Shruti Modi, Kwan Talent Management Agency employee and Deepika’s manager Karishma and fashion designer Simone Khambatta have also been summoned by the NCB in connection with the case.
While Shruti Modi, Simone Khambatta and Rakul Preet have been summoned for questioning by the NCB tomorrow (September 24), Deepika Padukone will be called for questioning on September 25.
The NCB has already questioned Sushant Singh Rajput’s former manager, Jaya Saha, thrice. As per sources in the NCB, Jaya’s chats with her colleague Karishma have also been accessed in which the two are seen talking about drugs.
Jaya Saha’s name surfaced in the investigation when her chats with Rhea Chakraborty were accessed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The ED is probing the money-laundering angle in the case, as alleged by Sushant Singh Rajput’s father, KK Singh, in his FIR dated July 25. The ED had shared the chats with the NCB, asking them to probe the drug angle.
So far, the NCB has arrested 18 people in connection with the case including Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik. Rhea was arrested on September 8 for alleged procurement of drugs. Rhea is presently in judicial custody along with her brother Showik. Both had filed for a bail but the hearing got delayed due to heavy rains today. Now, the hearing of their bail plea will take place tomorrow.
