Based on the life of fashion designer Masaba Gupta the web show Masaba Masaba on Netflix is already garnering positive reviews. The designer who stars in this partly fictional representation of her life has now spoken about living in public scrutiny because of the relationship of her parents and blind items where she candidly confessed that she loved reading them till she became a subject of one.
Masaba tells IANS, “I have to say that I used to really enjoy reading blind items until it became about me. I think that’s the nature of the human mind that the minute something happens to you, or you have an experience, you change your viewpoint about it, and you are kinder to people. You don’t speculate that much.”
Speaking about her life the designer says asserted that controversy to her is nothing new. “I think I was born in controversy. I get questions about this, that, my parents etc. Till today, after being in fashion for 11 years, it eventually boils down to my parents, and what had happened back in 1988. I’ve made my peace with it,” she tells the news agency.
Masaba confessed that she lives her life in a ‘very private bubble’ shares about things with only those people who she has known for long and trusts.
