Miss World 2017, Manushi Chhillar has joined Akshay Kumar and Sonu Sood for the shoot of YRF’s biggest historical film ‘Prithivraj’,based on the life and heroism of the fearless and mighty King Prithviraj Chauhan.
The YRF big-budget entertainer features superstar Akshay Kumar in and as Prithviraj, and Manushi plays the role of the gorgeous Sanyogita, the love of the king’s life. And recently, Manushi joined Akshay for ‘Prithviraj’ shoot that’s currently underway at YRF Studios.
She was repeatedly spotted at the studios in the run-up to the Prithviraj shoot date as she was doing script readings with her director, Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi. The film-maker’s claim to fame was the biggest television epic Chanakya – based on the life and times of the most influential political strategist of India and the multiple award-winning Pinjar.
Manushi wanted to know the scenes at the back of her hand before the shoot began and put in hours every day to rehearse. She now heads into an intense shooting schedule of the film.
About her grand Bollywood debut, Manushi has maintained, “It is a huge honour for me and I’m giving my everything and working really hard to try and get a lot of love and appreciation from audiences when my film releases. Sanyogita is a dream role for me and I’m doing my best to do justice to the responsibility that has been entrusted on me.”
Earlier, Akshay Kumar resumed ‘Prithviraj’ shoot along with Sonu Sood.
“Yes, we have resumed Prithviraj shoot at YRF studios and the entire team is excited to have a great shooting schedule,” Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi said.
A source said Akshay started shooting on October 10 for the film, and the schedule is an intense one. “Sonu Sood has also started shooting from the 10th. The team has worked non-stop to ensure that everything was in place for this complex shooting schedule to restart,” said the source.
While talking about playing Prithviraj, Akshay had earlier said in a statement, “It is truly an honour that I will be playing the role of one of the most fearless and courageous kings of India, Prithviraj Chauhan. As a nation, we should always celebrate our heroes and immortalize what they did to propagate the values that Indians lived by. Prithviraj is our attempt to bring to light his valour and daredevilry. Prithviraj was the only person standing in front of a merciless nemesis and the bravery he showed, made him a true Indian hero, an inspiration for generations and a legend. So this announcement coming on my birthday has indeed made it more special for me.”
