A Covid-19 vaccine centre has opened in one of Abu Dhabi’s major malls.
The booth at The Galleria Al Maryah Island is open to the public and is operated by Mubadala Health.
People must make an appointment to ensure social distancing and it is open to all UAE citizens and residents over the age of 16.
The centre will administer the government-approved Sinopharm vaccine free of charge.
People must bring a valid Emirates ID and have the Al Hosn app on their smartphones.
It is open Sunday to Thursday from 10am to 7pm and is on the Concourse Level, near the Waitrose supermarket.
The UAE on Sunday announced it was expanding efforts to inoculate all residents against Covid-19 by urging people still waiting for the vaccine to book appointments immediately.
Vaccination centres operated by Dubai Health Authority are still accepting appointments on a priority basis. Slots are only available for the elderly, frontline workers, people with chronic illnesses and over-40s.
In the capital, Abu Dhabi Health Services Company is administering first and second doses of the vaccine to all residents over the age of 16, at clinics throughout the city.
