Bollywood industry is in shock by the sudden demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Actor’s suicide has raised a lot of questions against Bollywood. Social media is filled with theories blaming the film industry for not acknowledging his work, not accepting him as one of them. Yesterday, when Karan Johar penned a heartfelt note on how he ‘blames himself for not being in touch with Sushant’, the filmmaker got brutally trolled on the name of ‘hypocrisy’. Even Alia Bhatt’s condolence tweet on Sushant’s demise wasn’t received well.
On the other side, filmmakers like Anubhav Sinha, Nikhil Dwivedi, Shekhar Kapur, who are equally a part of the film industry, went on social media to call out the ‘privileged Bollywood club’ over Sushant’s suicide. However, it’s Koena Mitra’s reaction to Anubhav Sinha’s tweet that has now grabbed our attention.

Not possible. Vivek Oberoi survived, that doesn't mean everyone will. Sad part is… there are many viveks. https://t.co/6WXv0uBRja

As Anubhav Sinha tweeted, “The Bollywood Privilege Club must sit down and think hard tonight. PS- Now don’t ask me to elaborate any further”, Koena Mitra replied to him, “Not possible. Vivek Oberoi survived, that doesn’t mean everyone will. Sad part is… there are many viveks” For the uninitiated, Vivek had disappeared from the world of showbiz after his controversial press conference in 2003. It was only last year that he made a comeback with PM Narendra Modi biopic, after a long break.
In a recent interview with Bombay Times, Koena further made explosive statements against Karan Johar and others who she feels are pretending to own the industry. “Karan Johar does not have the license of this industry. It is shown as if he presents or rejects something then it is the ultimate thing. But no, the industry is an ocean and we are tiny little drops in it. He is also a drop in it. No one can decide who works and who should be rejected”, she said.
