The Kannada film industry has been rocked by a drug scandal that has left people shocked. Actresses Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjanaa Galrani are in the custody of the Narcotics Control Bureau. Today, actors Shivraj Kumar and Yash met the Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa about work in the Kannada film industry during the times of the coronavirus. Actor Yash also spoke about the drug racket expose that has stunned Sandalwood. He said, “This is one of the deadliest menaces that has costed many young lives across the world, not just in the film world. The film world is just a small part of this big universe. I appeal to the media to highlight this in the right perspective and not indulge in witch-hunting or paint the entire Sandalwood as filled with drug addicts. That is not right.”
The actor who became popular pan-India as Rocky Bhai from KGF said that young people should not ruin their lives by consuming drugs and other banned substances. He said, “We should look up to our parents, who have toiled hard to raise us to this level. As a father of a toddler, I can feel that now. Even as parents, we become so sensitive at times that when our child steps on a small stone or stumbles, we do feel that pain.” He is the father of two kids, a daughter Arya and son, Yatharv. He further said, “I am sure every parent feels the same way. So after becoming adults, youngsters should not feel that they have become independent. They need to respect their parents and live for their sake.”
Yash is awaiting the release of KGF Chapter 2. The first part was a huge success grossing millions worldwide.
