Bollywood actors areena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan have been targets of brutal trolling for naming their second son Jeh. Many speculated if it was actually Jehangir. A similar thing happened with her first son, Taimur, too. As the controversy over Jeh’s name is happening, Kareena opened up about her stance in an exclusive interview with India Today TV.
Kareena Kapoor Khan, who recently launched her first book, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible, has been facing backlash since the name of her second son, Jeh, was announced. Talking about a personal decision becoming a public debate, she said, “I am a positive person and I want to spread happiness and positivity. There is no place for negativity in our lives. Look at what Covid-19 pandemic has done. It has brought the world closer. That’s what all of us should think about.”
As far as dealing with the trolls is concerned, Kareena said she should start meditating. “I have to start meditating now that I am pushed against the wall. We are talking about two innocent children here.”
Earlier, Kareena’s first son, Taimur Ali Khan’s name created a controversy. Netizens trolled her and Saif for naming him after a ‘Turkish invader’. The couple later clarified that they just loved the meaning of Taimur’s name, which means iron.
Kareena also opened up about shooting Laal Singh Chaddha with Aamir Khan while she was more than five months into her second pregnancy. She credited her family for supporting her. She said, “Saif and Taimur were supportive. He even came to sets. When you have that kind of encouragement from your close ones, it makes things easier. But fear was still there and I needed to know will the baby be safe? So I was in constant touch with the gynecologist.”
