Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who had tested positive for Covid-19 on May 8, took to Instagram on Tuesday (May 18) to announce that she has tested negative for the virus. The 34-year-old actress also posted a video where she is seen talking about her fight against the disease.
Kangana Ranaut shared her health update on her Instagram stories. She wrote: “I want to say a lot about how I beat the virus but I am told not to offend COVID fan clubs. Yes, there are actually people out there who get offended if you show disrespect towards the virus. Anyway, thanks for your wishes and love (sic).”
Kangana Ranaut revealed that she did not want to share her Covid-19 journey because she didn’t want to offend “Covid fan clubs”, but was persuaded by her sister Rangoli Chandel to speak her mind and help people with her experience of fighting the virus. Kangana talked about physical, mental and emotional health in the video and revealed that listening to Hanuman chalisa helped her recover.
She captioned the video, “I am not an expert on covid but sharing my journey of fighting the virus, hope it helps (sic).”
Kangana Ranaut called Covid-19 a ‘small-time flu’ while sharing her Covid diagnosis on May 8. Instagram reacted by taking down her post. Sharing a picture of herself in a yoga pose, she wrote, “I was feeling tired and weak with slight burning sensation in my eyes for past few days, was hoping to go to Himachal so got my test done yesterday and today the result came I am covid positive.”
She further added, “I have quarantined myself, I had no idea this virus is having a party in my body, now that I know I will demolish it, people please don’t give anything any power over you, if you are scared it will scare you more, come let’s destroy this Covid -19 it is nothing but a small time flu which got too much press and now psyching few people. Har Har Mahadev (sic).”
