Author Chetan Bhagat has given his opinion that Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who has been slamming Bollywood biggies and fighting to seek justice for late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, is far ‘bolder’ than the celebrated writer and columnist. Arguably one of the most popular authors in the entertainment industry, Chetan’s novels have always found a way to get adapted into Bollywood movies.
In an interview, the celebrated author opened up about his experience in Bollywood and also recalled the fond memories he created with late actor Sushant. The Dil Bechara star was only 34 when he died by suicide at his Bandra residence. Sushant had famouly made his Bollywood debut with the movie Kai Po Che!, a 2013 buddy-drama which was based on Chetan’s third best-selling novel The 3 Mistakes of My Life.

Speaking exclusively to Times Now, Chetan shared his thoughts about the ongoing nepotism debate in Bollywood and whether if ‘outsiders’ can remain relevant in the Indian film industry without being part of a camp or group. Chetan was quizzed to take the names of Bollywood bigwigs as Kangana did but the noted author successfully dodged the question and stated that it will be wrong to label everyone in the ‘bad’ category.
The Half Girlfriend author asserted that Kangana is “bolder” than him when it comes to slamming B-Town bigwigs. “Kangana Ranaut is far ‘more bold’ than I am. Mein appne aap ko bold category mein maanta hun lekin Kangana to hum sab se zyada bold hai. Wo bohot bold hai, mein utna bold nahi hun (I count myself in the bold category but Kangna is far ‘bolder’ than I am. I’m not that bold),” Chetan was quoted as saying.
