Now, Japan has also declared a state of emergency for Tokyo and three nearby areas amid the sharp rise in the covid-19 cases in the country.
State Emergency Will Be In Place From Today Until February 7

Tokyo, the capital of Japan, is recording around 2,477 cases daily, which is a cause of concern for the government. Deaths from the virus have doubled in less than two months. It has now surpassed 3,700, and Tokyo’s governor has warned that the medical system is under stress. Hence, to curb the spread of the virus Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga the declaration at the government task force for the coronavirus. As per the declaration, starting today until February 7, bars and restaurants will shut at 8 PM. People are furthermore requested to stay home and not mingle in crowds.
Covid-19 Cases In The Country Are On A rise Right After New Year’s Holidays
No penalty will be drawn from people- however, the government has a made a strong request to everyone to follow the rules. Shopping malls and schools will remain open. Movie theatres, museums and other activities will be open, but the attendance for the same will be limited. Places that don’t agree to follow the request will get public on a list, while those that comply will be eligible for aid, according to officials.
