According to latest reports Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi is all set to leave the audience in awe with her special dance number in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film Gangubai Kathiawadi.
Starring Alia Bhatt in the lead and Shantanu Maheshwari in a supporting role, Gangubai Kathiawadi is based on a chapter of Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai about the madam of a brothel in Kamathipura named Gangubai Kothewali. Alia will play the role of a girl sold into prostitution by her boyfriend. Talking to Bollywood Hungama about Huma’s item song, a source revealed, “Sanjay wanted a dancer who could emote to the evocative lyrics. Huma isn’t doing a Mujra in the film. It is an earthier, raunchy item number.”
