After the sudden demise of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, there has been a debate on nepotism in film industry. Recently, Actress Sonam Kapoor Ahuja’s Father’s Day post had received a lot of flak online. The actress was at the receiving end of criticism for calling herself ‘privileged’. TV-turned-Bollywood actress Hina Khan’s boyfriend Rocky Jaiswal had also expressed his displeasure over the same. Taking to his Twitter handle, Rocky had mentioned that he expected better from the Sonam Kapoor.
“So, every individual who’s been denied d opportunity they deserved bcoz of #Privileges n #Nepotism deserved it for their ‘Karma’ in the past life? By that logic, I can’t begin to imagine ur next life @sonamkapoor! Respectfully M’am, I expected better from U given ur fathers BG,” he had written on Twitter.

And for the ones who have missed out on what Sonam tweeted, here’s what she wrote- “Today on Father’s Day id like to say one more thing, yes I’m my father’s daughter and yes I am here because of him and yes I’m privileged. That’s not an insult, my father has worked very hard to give me all of this. And it is my karma where I’m born and to whom I’m born. I’m proud.”
However,Hina Khan has different opinion on Rocky’s tweet, In an recent interview with Zoom Digital, Hina said , “I have been always vocal whenever or if I have to say something, I would also speak and tweet about it. See, that is his perspective, and we are two different individuals. He has his own Twitter account from where he tweets. He tweets whatever he feels right. That is his personal call. He spoke whatever he felt was right.”
