Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan starrer Coolie No 1 is going to clash with Gal Gadot starrer Hollywood film Wonder Woman 1984. Coolie No 1 will release on December 25 and Wonder Woman will release on December 24.
Coolie No 1 will release on Amazon Prime Video. The Hollywood superhero film, however, will release in theatres across India. The theatres were shut due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. But cinema halls have been opened in some parts of the country after the government lifted restrictions imposed to curb the spread of the virus.
WONDER WOMAN 1984
Wonder Woman 1984 is directed by Patty Jenkins. The film will release in the country in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. It is the follow up of the 2017 DC superhero blockbuster. Wonder Woman 1984 will see Gadot reprise her role as the Amazonian warrior Diana Prince/ Wonder Woman and Jenkins return at the helm. The sequel follows Wonder Woman facing two all-new foes: Max Lord, played by Pedro Pascal, and The Cheetah, essayed by Kristen Wiig.

COOLIE NO 1
Coolie No 1, on the other hand, is a remake of the 1995 film of the same name. The original film starred Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in lead roles. David Dhawan, who helmed the original film, has also directed the remake. Coolie No. 1 is David’s 45th film. The film also stars Sahil Vaid, Johnny Lever, Paresh Rawal and Javed Jaferi in important roles.
