Amazon launched AmazonBasics Fire TV Edition 4K Smart TVs in India earlier this month. It is a part of Amazon’s expansion plan with multiple models being added to the Smart TV portfolio.
The AmazonBasics range of Smart TVs is powered by the Amazon Fire operating system. Also, they can be bought in different variants of 32-inch and 43-inch screen sizes with Alexa support.
Specifications and features
The AmazonBasics range of Smart TVs can be found in two different screen sizes with different pixel resolutions. The 32-inch variant has an HD-ready display panel with 1366×768 pixel resolution. The 43-inch variant of the Smart TVs has an FHD panel with 1920×1080 pixel resolution.
Apart from these two variants, there is another 43-inch variant that has a 4K UHD display panel with 3840×2160 pixel resolution. All of them support a 178-degree viewing angle and come with 60 Hz refresh rate display.
According to Amazon, they have A-plus trade LED panels and come with an Ultra bright screen along with dynamic contrast, dynamic backlight and advanced picture processing. The 43-inch 4K UHD variant has Dolby vision as well.
As for the connectivity details, the 32-inch variant and the 43-inch FHD TV have 2x HDMI ports and the 43-inch 4K UHD TV has 3x HDMI ports. The former two have a 1GB RAM and the latter comes with 1.5GB of the same. All three variants have 2x USB ports and come with 8GB storage space.
They are all processed by the Fire TV OS, that supports around 5000 apps from its OS store and includes names like Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube. The TV’s remote has hotkeys for Netflix, Prime Video, and Alexa.
Price in India
The three Smart TVs can be categorised in the affordable range. The AmazonBasics 32-inch HD Ready Smart LED TV is priced at Rs 13,999. As for the TVs with 43-inch screen size, the AmazonBasics 43-inch FHD Smart LED TV costs Rs. 23,499 and 43-inch 4K UHD Smart LED TV is available at Rs 27,499.
