The actor in an interview with Rajeev Masand said that he is not open to doing intimate scenes anymore. He said that after he became a father to his darling daughter Aaradhya, somethings changed for good.
“There are certain kinds of films and scenes I’m not comfortable doing anymore. I would not want to do anything in which my daughter would feel uncomfortable or something that she’d question me about, saying ‘hey what’s going on here?’,” told the actor.
Abhishek further said that he was very uncomfortable doing romantic scenes. He said that he tells the director before signing the movie that he is not comfortable with intimate and physical scenes. The actor continued and said that 100 percent of the times, the directors did away with the scenes altogether.
He further added and said that he has lost out on films because of this policy but he respects the director’s creative space as well as his restrictions. “Yes, and that’s fine. No regrets, because I had a creative point of view, and the producer-director have a creative point of view, and they didn’t want to compromise on that and I completely respect that, and it’s perfectly fine.”
On the work front, Abhishek has a number of projects in hand including Ludo, Bob Biswas and The Big Bull.
