Hadimba Temple Manali

 The temple has both historical and archaeological interest to it. Dating back to 1553 this temple was dedicated to Hadimba a very mythological character from the Mahabharata. Footprint of the goddess Hidimba, as per the epic, wife of Bhima, has been found here and the temple built around this holy spot.  Even the geological aspect of the place is quite interesting to visit. A natural cave formation exists where the foot print was located in the long year ago. The temple also has some major festivals associated with it.


Solang Valley Manali

At the  top of Kullu valley and about 13 kms distance  from it lies this Solang Valley with all its panoramic beauty.  From this valley the view of snow capped mountains and the glaciers are very clear. The valley is apt for skiing sports. The infrastructure set up for this is apt. the other adventure sport for which sports lovers the world over converged here is paragliding. Visitors also get to enjoy ice scooter riding in this area.


Rohtang Pass Manali

51 km from Manali at a height of 3980 meter a visitor gets to Rohtang Pass and a beatific view of the snow covered land below. The pass is along the highway leading to Leh and was one of the arterial routes for trade in old times. The pass is accessible only in the months of April to November exact dates for which needs to be found out.  Source of the Beas River as also the Sonapani Glacier view from the Rohtang Pass attract lots of tourist during the season it is open.

The capital city of Kullu in the 16th Century this village presents a picturesque view along with its association with a rich heritage. A castle built by Raja Saidh Singh dating back some 500 years has been converted into a heritage hotel for tourist stay. There are many other temples in the surrounding area of the castle with lot of religious fervor. Nicholas Roerish gallery is another place of keen interest for tourists for it displays the works of this great man with multiple talents.


Vashisht Hot Water Spring

Located at a distance of 5 kms from Manali, the village named Vashisht has its Sulphur Spring which is very famous amongst visiting tourists.  There are also Turkish style baths set up in the spot for privately enjoying the sulphur spring.
