Jalori Pass, Shimla-Chail and Shimla-Junga are some of the few places which are common for trekking. But one should surely avoid trekking during the monsoons, as it can be risky.
2. Visiting Daranghati sanctuary

It is a famous tourist attraction for all wildlife lovers and otherwise also. It is located around 150 kilometers from Shimla and is home to many rare and exotic species of animals, birds, and reptiles. It is an old sanctuary which was first a hunting reserve for the Rampur Bushahr royal family. It is a nice place to take your kids.

With so many lakes and rivers, Shimla offers some great river rafting opportunities. The place called Tattapani is a popular place along Satluj where you can indulge in rafting. Many tourist come to Shimla for river rafting. It is one of the best places in India for river rafting.

5. Shopping on Mall Road

Apart from loving the nature and indulging in different activities, you can also spend some great time shopping in Shimla. The mall road has some of the vibrant markets where you can find woolen garments (shawls and caps), accessories, wooden articles, pottery and handicrafts and many other things. Also there are some good restaurants here where you can enjoy eating.
