Reliance Jio has been intending to release its 4G feature phone for quite some time now, and now it is predicted that the rollout will be sometime later this month or by Aug 2017. It has also been recommended that the network provider will present its new cellular cost programs. While reviews and speculation have been doing the units regarding the cost of the 4G VoLTE feature phone, a new review in The Financial Times shows that it will come with a cost tag of just Rs 500. Meanwhile, the release of 4G feature phones would be in phased way and it is predicted that in the first stage, around 10-11 lakh phones would come to the market. The organization might go with a similar technique that it had used with improvement its Lyf brand of 4G smartphones.
Mukesh Ambani has been capitalizing on India’s increasing online customers with big investment plans into his project Jio. According to a latest Internet Trends 2017 review by Jane Meeker, India’s access to the internet has increased significantly from smartphones, with 355 million customers on phones in July 2016 and 277 million high speeds internet customers, as of March 2017. Only China has bigger internet-using inhabitants of around 700 million.
Interestingly, 72% of Internet customers in Indian are less than 35 years of age.
Since Reliance Jio’s Dhan Dhana Dhan offer is also coming to an end, the organization might make a statement regarding the new plans to either substitute them or implement standard charges instead.
