As the digital world experiencing its hard time against the cyber attackers, several banks, airports, and oil companies hit severely due the recent spread of the virus ‘petya’. Especially the Ukraine’s International Airports and the global shipping giant A.P Moller-Maersk.
Plot behind the cyber attack worldwide
Though, the attack was mainly focused to gain financial benefits from the victims of the cyber attack throughout the world and follows the same pattern, which was used to create WannaCry ransomware attack that disrupted cyber world few months ago.
The Moscow based cyber security firm Group IB has recently released a statement over the recently cyber attack all over the world. In its statement, it quotes that the hackers are somehow manages to crack the security protocol of Unites States National Security Agency (NSA) and exploited its new code. By using the code hackers designed the WannaCry ransomeware which created lot of chaos in cyber world and literally shuts the computers all over the world.
Now, the recently spreading new virus petya too follows the similar kind of pattern by locking victim’s system and demands crypto-currency of $300 in form of bitcoin.

As far as the news gathered and the images published on the Ukraine’s channel 24, hackers displays the message over the screen
“If you see this text, then your files are no longer accessible, because they have been encrypted. Perhaps you are busy looking for a way to recover your files, but don’t waste your time. Nobody can recover your files without our decryption service”
After being a victim of this new ‘petya’ virus, Maersk expressed their worries and also posted that the newly spreading cyber attack affects the global business in multiple forms. The spokeswomen of the firm said that the IT breakdown will extend all over the world in short and it will affect the global operations of many companies.
